MAKING PEOPLE HAPPY
When Sean graduated from high school, his classmates went to college to become businessmen, teachers,
writers, etc. But this wasn't what Sean wanted to do.
"I think that all I've ever wanted to do, whether I've consciously realized it or not, is to make people happy.
I've never had any greater joy in life than doing that".
Sean is a magician, clown, actor, and balloon animal artist who began his career as a costume character at
Opryland U.S.A. in Nashville, Tennessee. Sean first acted in high school, where he appeared in many productions.
Sean has also acted for Nashville Academy Theatre and has done commercials for local T.V. stations.
From Nashville, Sean moved to Chicago where he studied Theatre at DePaul University. While in Chicago,
Sean's interest in magic grew, and started to learn the art of magic from renowned Close-up magician, Eugene Burger.
When Sean Returned to Nashville, he also returned to Opryland; performing and selling magic at the park's
magic shop. Drawing on his experience in theatre and as a costumed character, Sean added clowning to his repertoire,
performing for private events on the side.
In 1991, Sean was chosen to be one of the magicians for a national promotion by the Nabisco Co. During this
time, he toured across middle Tennessee performing in the "Unlock the Magic of an Oreo Cookie" show.
"To me, the most important thing about being an entertainer is not to do the most amazing magic trick or have
the best clown face.", Sean says. "The most important thing to me is to make people happy. Can a magician or a
clown entertain people? If I can't do that, then it doesn't matter if I have the best magic trick or the best clown face.
The best magician or clown is the best entertainer. That's what I always strive to become; the best entertainer I can
be".
Sean was hired by Opryland Entertainment to be a roving clown in the park for the 1993 summer season .
From there, Sean went back to his roots of performing as a costumed character; performing as "KC" in the Opryland
Kids Club Show and "Cookie" in A Gift For Santa. Sean further amazed Opryland Entertainment by showing his
versatility as a stilt walking demon in Quarantine.
After Opryland closed at the end of 1997, Sean took his skills to Utah. At Lagoon, an amusement park just
north of Salt Lake City, Dinky the Clown developed his show "The Really Big Show by the Really Big Shoe". While
in Salt Lake, Sean also got a job with Robert Redford's Sundance Theatre Company, where he performed as a
vaudeville magician doing pre-show entertainment.
In 2001, Sean has had his greatest achievement to date. He was chosen to be a member of the Brooks & Dunn
Neon Circus and Wild West Show tour. This has been one of the most successful country tours of that year, covering
thirty-two cities.
In 2004, Sean has taken two more giant strides in his career. First, Sean worked with Armed Forces
Entertainment, touring six different European countries and entertaining families of the troops that are overseas.
Second, Sean moved to Texas to be with his lovely fiancée, Heather. The two were married in June of 2005.
After a two and a half year stint in Texas, and Heather finished her Masters Degree, Sean & Heather moved
back to Nashville, where Sean continues to pursue the dream of making people happy.
